About our Programs
At Atom International School, students can choose between two strong academic pathways. Those enrolled in the Cambridge International Program progress through four key stages Cambridge Primary, Cambridge Lower Secondary, IGCSE, and AS Level each designed to build on the previous one. This structured approach helps students achieve academic excellence and prepares them for admission to leading universities around the world.

In addition, the State Educational Standard (SES), accredited by the Ministry of Education of the Kyrgyz Republic, provides a solid academic foundation through core subjects such as Russian Language and Literature, Mathematics, Science, History, and Art.
At Atom International School, we follow the Cambridge Primary Curriculum, designed for learners aged 5 to 11 years.

This internationally recognized program builds a strong foundation in three core subjects

setting the stage for future academic success. To monitor progress and celebrate growth, we offer Cambridge Progression Tests and Cambridge Checkpoint Assessments, which provide clear and detailed feedback for both teachers and parents. Our curriculum at Atom nurtures curiosity, confidence, and a love for learning, ensuring that every child develops academically, creatively, and socially in a balanced and inspiring environment.
Lower Secondary incorporates the first 3 years of secondary school. Our curriculum follows the English National Curriculum by providing a broad, balanced, education which is enhanced by the Cambridge Secondary 1 programme in English, Maths and Science. Students will build on and consolidate the skills and knowledge which they have learnt in the Primary School. This will prepare them for the demands of the examination courses they follow in IGCSE and AS Levels.

The aims of the Lower Secondary are:
β€’To allow students to develop further as independent, inquisitive, creative, critical thinkers and learners;
β€’ To allow students to develop as individual personalities whilst maintaining a consideration and compassion for others;
β€’ To act as a transition phase between the primary education and the progress to courses leading to external examinations
(IGCSEs and AS Level).
The academic programme that we offer in Grades 9 & 10 builds upon the skills that have been developed at the Lower Secondary. All students are required to study a two-year programme leading to the International General Certificate of Secondary Education. The curriculum includes 7 core subjects.

IGCSE programme encourages students to:
β€’Develop oral and practical skills;
β€’Develop an investigative approach;
β€’Use initiative to solve problems;
β€’Apply skills, knowledge and understanding;
β€’Think critically about information;
β€’Become more effective as independent learners;
β€’Actively demonstrate all aspects of the school learner profile.
At Atom International School, the Upper Secondary Program (ages 16–19) prepares students for university through the prestigious Cambridge International AS Level qualification. Building on the foundation of the IGCSE stage, this advanced program develops critical thinking, academic depth, and subject mastery.

Students choose from three specialized streams:
β€’ Engineering – English, Maths, Physics, Chemistry,
Computer Science, Global Perspectives
β€’ Medicine – * English, Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Global Perspectives
